Detangling Natural Hair Made Easy

This is one of the many hacks I'd rather keep to myself but what is the point of a community when people do not get to benefit from each other?

You have perhaps searched for ways to detangle your hair before wash day, or basically for days when your hair is dry leading to tangles and aggressive shrinkage. You've come to the right place as I'll be giving you a step to step description of how I lightly detangle, moisturize and lengthen my hair within the week.

You will need a spray bottle filled with warm water, some coconut oil, some clips and or scrunchies and lastly your fingers or a Detangling brush.

Part your hair into four workable sections. If you're unable to part your hair due to excessive dryness which causes your scalp to hurt once it is touched, skip the parting and go right in with spraying your hair, making sure to distribute the water as evenly as possible without concentration on a particular side.

Once that is done, begin to lightly massage the water into your scalp, this will loosen the bunched up and tangled hair at the roots. This is what you want. Do it for a few seconds, you will notice it's much easier to part.

Go ahead to part and secure each section. Smoothing each section down and spraying more water enough to saturate but not drench it, massage some coconut oil onto the section, apply it to your roots while massaging, pulling the oil down the shaft, and lastly sealing your ends. At this point you can go ahead with your Brush, it's optional.

When that is done, proceed to lightly or tightly twist and move to the next section. Complete all sections and tie your hair up for bed if it's in the night, or unravel after a few minutes if you're about to head out the door and enjoy lengthened detangled and moisturized hair,

Thanks for reading, stay blessed.
